Gangway, SF’s oldest gay bar set to close.

Accross the street from the New Century strip club sits Gangway, one of the citys oldest gay bars. But now it too is following in the footsteps of many other fine establishments that have gone the way of the DoDo. Gangway, which has been a gay bar since at least 1961 and has been a bar for 106 years straight (no pun intended), since 1910.

Word on the street is the new haunt will be called Daddy Bones, yes you heard that right! This will leave the last gay bar in the tenderknob being The Cince.
