Dunya on Polk – Treat yourself to some great cuisine.

Venturing into Dunya on Polk street for lunch is a real treat. John my server who resided in Las Vegas for several years, quickly handed me a Menu, poured a glass of water, before he could recommend any specials, my eye caught the Lamb Shish Kebab from the main Entree section. So I ordered it straight off the bat.

Marinated Lamb cubes skewered with onions and bell peppers. Side of rice, greens and red onions. This was perfect for a middle of the afternoon lunch slash very late breakfast. Lamb was cooked to perfection and portions were also the right size to negate my hunger. Besides I jumped at the chance, when I usually walk by Dunya it’s filled to the brim, I’m the kind of person who likes small crowds when I eat. Unless I am with company of course.

A must here if you follow 4Square everyone recommends that if you can, sit at the bar, I did and the server was very personable in a great way. Service was awesome, and we chatted football, Smith going to KC etc. Also recommended on 4Square which I am going to try next time is the Adana Kebab, certainly looks juicy which is what a couple of folks described it as.

They have also a great wine selection, four beers on tap, that I could see also several bottled beers to chose from. But if going out for dinner I suggest you get the wine list. Over all I surprised I never walked in here before, considering how close I live. I most definitely will be back.
