DEA & SFPD sweep Tenderloin for Habitual Drug Dealers.

Federal agents along with San Francisco undercover narcotics officers quietly swept through the Tenderloin picking up drug dealers as they went. Not only will these dealers probably serve a minimum of one year in a federal penitentiary since they are now in the hands of federal authorities but they also were breaking another law designed to protect children, because they are accused of trafficking drugs within 1,000 feet of schools in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. Usually these thugs would be back on the streets in days or weeks and many of them would return to their dealing ways, but thankfully not this time. We should also note than many of these accused drug dealers do not even live in San Francisco, they like many law abiding citizens commute to the city to pedal crack, heroin & prescription pills. Ten people were indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of dealing crack within 1,000 feet law. The maximum penalty for dealing drugs in a drug-free school zone is up to 40 years in prison, with fines of up to $2 million. The defendants have been identified as Angela Jones, Alfred Craney, Ivan Speed, Shaneka Clay, Lori Spiller, Saquita Nash, Mellina Williams, Cassie Roberts Jamesha Harris, and Latoya Jackson.
