Police Blotter

Greetings Northern District,

As of Dec 6th, The City & County of San Francisco opted into the Regional Stay at Home Order announced by Gov. Newsome.

Recent data suggests that we continue to face challenges in protecting the public in the midst of Covid-19 case rates and hospitalizations increasing unabated since late October. Staying home and avoiding unnecessary exposure to the public during non-essential activities is vital to slowing the spread of Covid-19.
When possible, please make police reports for non-violent and cold cases via our online services or over the phone services (415-575-5800).
There are several Covid-19 testing sites throughout San Francisco including the Northern District’s own, Maxine Hall. Some of these sites provide free testing and drop-in availability.
In the following pages in the link below, you’ll find a chart listing various activities and their current restrictions during the Regional Stay at Home Order. Concerns and enforcement request regarding public health order violations should be forwarded to the City’s Community Education and Response Team (CERT).
Thank you to our community members who attended the December 8th virtual SF Safe community meeting. Based on your input, Northern Station officers will be conducting some traffic enforcement operations in the Alamo Square area and the main thoroughfares in Hayes Valley. Additionally, we will focus efforts on apprehending “catalytic converter” thieves in the Marina District in “Operation Cat Burglar.”
Stay safe and stay healthy.

Captain Paul Yep.
